MPC – Media Press Center

The MPC, or Media Press Center is where the worlds press corp hosts the broadcasts for the Games to their home countries. Studio space is provided for sportscasters to broadcast.

The Tulsa2024 MPC (Media Press Center) would be located at Expo Square. Expo Square encompasses many facilities on a large track of land over 15 acres just 2 miles from downtown Tulsa.

The MPC would be hosted inside the large building behind the Golden Driller (446,000 square foot) called the Exposition Center, and in one or two additional large buildings on the Expo Square Complex. The Exposition Center has 354,000 square feet of column-free space under one roof, 448,000 feet available split-level.

One of the other buildings on the complex would also be used for the Media Dining room.

To support the Media Broadcast requirements, and mobile television semis, Expo Square can support several hundred RV spaces for TV Broadcast support trailers. This includes electricity, water, and sewer, as well as cable TV/Internet.

The IBC – International Broadcast center could be held in a large warehouse 10 miles east of Tulsa. This facility is next to major fiber optic rights of way. Tulsa could have a hybrid IBC-MPC where the studios are on site at Expo Square, and the actual fiber optics broadcast center is remote.
